![]() ![]() Keep in mind stealing a good ship will require you to be good at hacking. (claiming just before they open fire will probably be worse.) while ship not reported will impact the ship owner. I expect a valuable/powerful ship reported as stolen will likely be found and taken out before they can do anything if they are in space with a risk rating below the ship. ![]() Reputation will restrict people to lower and lower security level areas until they are simply not good enough to do anything to people accustomed to the threat level of that area.Ĭig know about supplying alts, and intend to have "reputation bleed". Honest question because I'd love to see arguments or discussions about it even if only to understand it better because I apparently don't at the momentĮxpenses like running cost and death of a spaceman will cause a stubborn murderhobo to be stranded without equipment. ![]() So how much of an impact will any of it truly have? How much will DoaSM actually affect people who are going to deliberately enter the game in a, let's say "bloodthirsted" mode? Because while I understand that not everything is in yet and that reputation has hopefully planned to limit X, Y, or Z - I don't think I've had the impression that it will curb much of anything on a major scale - especially because, though hard, criminal gameplay is supposed to be a viable path as well, no? Outside of all the typical caveats about who to play with and when and etc etc - how much are these purported reputation changes going to actually affect criminal gameplay? Because every time I see it mentioned or brought up I almost immediately see the "just run alts" counter or "who cares about rep" counter. Reverse that and put everyone together that slim "safety margin" goes down by a noticeable amount. The smaller the server and bigger the space the safer you theoretically are. ![]() Once we're """all""" in the same area and known spots can be more easily camped and/or watched the likelyhood of being jumped goes up. I find myself, as a non-pvp focused player, becoming less and less excited for server meshing especially looking at the spawn camping "debacle" with Pyro. ![]()
